To try and make 4th Division a better place to play hockey in the army I am going to revamp the way the league is structured.

I intend to lay it out in the following format - registered numbers dependant.

Due to the failure of the Mixed League - this will not happen 08/09 season and neither will the Six a Side Tournament. the Div Cup will take place as indicated below. Although 'Station/Gssn' teams may take part to make up numbers they will NOT, in accordance with the Rules for Sports and Games in the Army, be allowed to progress through to the Army Cup Quarter Finals.

Due to the fact that some units like to play hockey and try to play as much as possible, I intend to have three leagues. The first will be League 1 and consist of 8(eight) teams. the second league will be called League 2(East) and consist of a maximum eight teams and the third will be League 2(West) with 8 teams.

The reasons for the east and west teams is to try and cut down on travelling. The season will be from 17 Sep 08 - 22 Apr 09.

Normally I do not do this but I am going to state that teams will play on certain match days, the games can only be moved by one day either way and can be played in the day time or evening. The game WILL be booked by the home team by phone, it will then be followed up with a confirmation email which WILL be copied to the Sec 4 Div Hockey. Any unit that fails to meet three of its fixtures will be removed from ALL 4 Div competitions. Each failure to meet a fixture will result in a 5-0 win to the available unit and minus 3points to the failing team.
