HMS Sultan won the East League - 42 Svy Engr RE were runners up

HMS Heron won the West League - 6 Bn REME were runners up.

11 Sig Regt won the Div Cup - 1RSME were runners up.

SEAE won the Army Cup - 1RSME were runners up

HMS Heron won the Tri Service Cup - SEAE were runners up

It seems there is a bit of a trend here.  Maybe next year an Army team can win.  Any points from last season may be forwarded by email.

NOTICE FROM USHC PORTSMOUTH

.

Although primarily formed for serving and retired military personnel, USHC Portsmouth also welcomes Civilian members; especially those associated with the Armed Forces. The Club is keen to recruit Male and Female players and Umpires of all standards for the 2008/9 season. Prospective members are advised that 2009 is also the Centenary Year of the formation of the Club in 1909. The Club currently runs 5 Teams: three Men’s teams (1St , 2nd XI and Vets) one Ladies team and a Mixed team. USHC makes full use of the first class facilities available at its home ground HMS TEMERAIRE, Burnaby Road, Portsmouth, located adjacent to the Gunwharf Quays Shopping Centre.

The Club has a varied social programme and plays each weekend during the season on possibly the best pitches in the South of England. Discounted membership is offered for serving Military personnel. INSURANCE NOTICE.

An important note in reference to insurance for playing hockey within 4th Division.  The MOD Compensation Scheme has been changed and it now states.  To be classed as on duty Service personnel need to be named on Unit orders as part of the team selected to play the relevant fixture(s).
